WHAT TO DO BEFORE YOUR HEARING
If you're involved in the cases for the court hearing, you need to fully prepare on what to expect, how to testify, pleading and what to expect after the court hearing.
We recommend having an attorney in case if you have no idea what to say. It can be anyone as long as you believe that the lawyer you're having is smart and trusted.
You should do some more research on all across of our web portal and the RULES OF QQ before the court hearing.
Additional note: Be punctual. You are required to enter the courtroom 15 minutes early from the time set to ensure attendance. You CANNOT attend last-minute.
BEFORE ENTERING THE COURTROOM
You must wear a proper attire before entering the courtroom.
Silence your smart devices.
Once you’ve entered the courtroom [area], bow to the judge. Then, head to your seat, bow to the judge, and then be seated.
You MUST remain silence at all time. You must not play around, make noise, dial someone or do annoying things that can interrupt the court hearing.
BEFORE YOUR CASE BEING PRESENT
You may talk to your lawyer/attorney quietly in court to discuss further about your case.
You must not play any sound or music. If you need to to further your case details, use an earphone.
If you need to leave the courtroom to gather stuff, stand up, bow to the judge, and leave. Upon returning to court, bow to the judge, head to your seat, bow to the judge, and be seated.
WHEN IT IS YOUR CASE
Remain calm and head to the podium.
Always use 'Your honor' as a pronouns to the judge.
Before talking into your case, you must raise your dominant hand up and swear the following:
"I, [full name] swear under the name of God that I'll tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth."
You can speak on the behalf of your attorney in any question, but you must answer all the questions asked by the judge.
Only talk if the judge ask you so.
Failure to follow the judge orders or disrespect the judge may result in penalty received by the judge.
PLEADING
You are required to plead either GUILTY or NOT GUILTY in your case, when asked by the judge.
You must immediately respond to it.
Talk to your lawyer for advise before pleading in court.
AFTER YOUR CASE IS DISMISSED
Do NOT leave the courtroom even if your case has been settled, until the court hearing is fully dismissed.
You'll be arranged on what's next after court hearing.
Penalization of fines: You'll need to pay an amount to the HOJ as a penalization for your irresponsible actions. If granted by court, you maybe eligible to pay by installment. You'll be guided on how to settle your payment once the court hearing is finished.
Penalization of exercise punishment: The HOJ will work with the Rehabilitation Department to arrange you your punishment.
Penalization of isolation: You'll be immediately brought to jail to serve justice.
